1. Stillwater Ice Castle

Spend a fun day at the Ice Castle in Stillwater, MN! Over 10,000 icicles are used DAILY to construct the growing structure! Transport your family to another world while exploring the crystalline caves! We bet you won’t be able to stop singing “Let it Go” anytime soon.

2. St. Paul Winter Carnival

This annual carnival is famous for its light displays in Rice Park, ice palace in front of the capital, live music and great food. There are several other events throughout the city during the carnival, such as the Disc Golf Ice Bowl, Autonomous Snowplow Competition, the Securian Winter Run, and the Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt!

3. WinterFest

Help raise money for local charities while taking full advantage of the winter climate in Rochester! From ice skating to BaconFest, Ski by Candlelight to the Polar Plunge, WinterFest has activities for the whole family!

4. Kiwanis Holiday Lights

See gorgeous holiday displays and light-filled trees during this sparkling holiday event in Mankato! Tour the displays and take a photo with Santa, all the way until New Year’s Eve.

5. 3rd Annual Holiday Toy Trains

Visit the Chippewa Valley Museum in Eau Claire to see the Holiday Toy Trains! The exhibit features holiday-themed standard gauge trains running on 384 feet of track. For the younger guests, Thomas the Tank Engine makes an appearance!
