Cinnamon Apple Crisp

  • • 1 apple peeled, cored, & sliced into 1/4-inch wedges
  • • 1/2 Tbsp. butter
  • • 2 tsp. stevia
  • • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • • 2 tsp. water
  • • 1 Tbsp. reduced fat margarine
  • • 1 packet Livea Hot Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal
  • • 2 tsp. almond flour
  • • 1 tsp. brown sugar replacement/zero calorie sweetener

Method

    1. Preheat oven to 350° F
    2. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add apple slices, stevia, 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla, cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon of water. Stir to combine and coat the apple slices. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    3. Melt margarine in a bowl, then combine with the contents of the Livea oatmeal packet, almond flour, brown sugar replacement, and remaining water and vanilla extract. Stir forming small, moist clumps.
    4. Transfer apples into a small baking dish, and top with oatmeal crumbles.
    5. Place in oven and bake for 20 minutes, until the top is slightly browned.
    6. Remove from oven and serve warm. Enjoy!
