Why did you pursue a career in the weight loss and wellness industry?

My background is actually in the Beauty Industry.  I was a District Manager for 19 years with the same company.  I did extensive traveling and put some weight while doing that traveling.  I decided I needed to “figure things out” as I really thought I would retire with that company.

I then started to eat healthier, make better choices while being on the road and found time to exercise.  It was a lot of self discipline but I always remember when I wasn’t seeing results at times my sister kept saying ” keep doing what your doing”. We all need support and encouragement at times including myself!!  I then found another passion, helping others with what I was challenged with.

I am so fortunate that now I can help others get healthier, feel better about themselves and truly make a difference!

What is your favorite part about working for Livea?

There are so many things! Where do I begin?  I get to work with such a talented group of individuals who are very passionate about what they do everyday.  We all work together to make differences in people lives.  I get to go to work everyday and see our clients reach their goals with our support.  It is so rewarding to make a difference in our clients happiness, health and confidence.  How can you not like what you do when it consists of all of that!

What is the best advice that you’ve been given in your career?

I have had several mentors over the years and they have made me who I am today. The best advice has to be enjoy what you do! We work so much and you really need to enjoy and have fun doing it.  Another piece of advice was “treat people how they want to be treated.   We can say treat others how we want to be treated, but that may not be how they want to be treated.  You never know what anyone is going through in their lives and you may just make a difference in their day with how you treat them.

Do you have any hobbies outside of work?

I enjoy spending time with friends and especially my family. Family is everything to me and I am so lucky to be newly married to such a supportive husband and my two children who I am so proud of.  Oh yes… my two sisters and their families too!!

I also enjoy and take pride in our home and yard.  I love decorating  and, of course, shopping.

Do you have any pets?

I was so lucky to have our dog, Coal, in my life until the beginning of this year when we found out he had cancer.  He was the best dog and friend ever!  I have been looking online at dogs lately…. we will have to see what comes of it!
